KHK House Rules
(w.e.f: 1st June 2008)

A. Membership

Joining is free. Once played with KHK, automatically become a member of KHK.

B. Handicap

1. In order to participate in all KHK Weekly Game Prizes and Tournament Prizes, new member must fulfill a minimum of Five (5) games played in KHK so that their handicap will only be validated then.

2. Currently, KHK Handicap System is based on the below formula:

(a) An average of Best Five (5) Games is taken of each player based on Par 72, regardless of which golf course played.

(b) From (a) above, further reduced by 10%.

Note: Under current KHK Handicap System, a players' handicap will only reduce but can never increase. This is because the Best 5 Games taken is from the very 1st game when he started in KHK until today. No particular time frame is set, at least for now, until when the situation is permitted to do so.

C. Weekly Games

1. On each and every game with Two or more flights, each eligible player will need to contribute RM10.00 (Ringgit Malaysia: Ten Only) to KHK Weekly Pool Fund on top of the normal golfing fees (green fees, caddie's fee etc). The weekly pool fund is used for the Weekly Prizes. The balance of Weekly Fund (if any), shall be credited to KHK Fund.

2. For game comprises of 2 flights, Champion, 1st Runner Up will be rewarded with RM20.00 and RM10.00 respectively.

5. For game comprises of 3 or more flights, Champion, 1st Runner Up & 2nd Runner Up will be rewarded with RM30.00, RM20.00 and RM10.00 respectively.

6. Stableford Points is used for the derivation of prizes. If two or more players having the same points in a game, the player with a lower handicap shall be declared as winner on count back. If players are tied in both Stableford Points and Handicap, the total prizes shall be shared equally by the respective players.

7. Allocation of flight among players – a random draw will be carried out before the game to determine which flight will a player goes to. After the allocation, players are not allowed to change flight from one to another.

8. Late Penalty – When a player fail or late to turn up upon the designated Tee Off Time of any games, a late penalty of RM20.00 will be imposed on that player regardless what so ever reason. The money collected shall be credited into KHK Fund.

9. Abandoned Game – In the event of inclement weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances that force the game to be delayed, the game shall be continued to play upon the “Resume Play” siren from the club. Players who did not continue to play will be considered “Walk Over” from the game and no money shall be refunded. Only if all players were unable to complete the game when darkness came, the game will pronounce abandoned then. All money (other than the incurred charges on the club) shall be refunded to all players.

D. Playing Rules (applicable to Weekly Games & Tournaments organised by KHK).

     1. Winter rule shall apply through out any game when the playing condition is wet.

     2. If ball lies in divot (except rough & hazards), a free lift is entitled.

     3. Stones in bunker and fairway shall be removable.

     4. Players may declare a hole is burst (blow hole) in order to speed up the game, maximun score
         of double par will be awarded then.

     5. Whenever there is a dispute within flight, agreement can be reached among the flight
          members of the respective flight without referring to Organising Committe.
          Eg: when a ball is lost in the fairway, if other flight members agreed to grant a Free Drop,
          no penalty will be incurred.

     6. If (5) above can’t resolve the said dispute, a player shall play a provisional ball then and the
        matter will be discussed and decided after the game.

     7. All decisions made shall be done by voting from all playing members.
